The candidate for Head of Government for the Let’s Keep Making History coalition, Clara Brugada, emphasized the importance of work hand in hand with the business sector and all economic actors to build a Prosperous and constantly advancing Mexico City.

During a meeting with representatives of the main business chambers that make up the Group of 9 (G9), Brugada highlighted the need for collaboration to continue promoting the economic growth of the capital.

“It is essential to build this city together, we agree on what must be done so that this city remains prosperous and continues to move forward,” said Brugada.

Leaders from various business chambers gathered at the meeting, such as the COPARMEX, CANADEVI, CANIRAC, CANACO, ANTADamong others, as well as representatives of the College of Architects of Mexico and the Society of Mexican Architects.

Clara Brugada emphasized the positive economic moment that Mexico City is experiencing, called by her the “Chilango Moment”, highlighting a growth of 3% and the generation of 130 thousand new formal jobs registered in Social Security.

The candidate highlighted the attractive nature of the capital for investment, pointing out that a third of foreign direct investment in the country takes place in Mexico City.

Regarding investment attraction, Brugada proposed the creation of an agency specialized in this field within the Ministry of Economic Development, with the capacity to establish international relations and expand opportunities for both companies and local innovators.

“We want to generate new engines in the economy, a city that not only produces wealth, but also quality of life and a healthy environment,” said Brugada.

The candidate also highlighted the importance of security for investment, highlighting a 59% decrease in high-impact crimes and a reduction in the population’s perception of insecurity.

Regarding specific proposals, Brugada mentioned administrative simplification, support for small businesses and the social economy, as well as the transformation of public space through the construction of one hundred “Utopias” in the city.

In addition, he announced investments in the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Metrothe construction of new Cablebús and Metrobús linesas well as the expansion of the cycle path network.
