Floresta and Sampaio Corrêa will take the field this Monday (22), at 8 PM (Brasília time), for the 14th round of the Série C of the Brazilian Championship 2024. The match will be held at Estádio Presidente Vargas, in Fortaleza, and will be broadcast live on DAZN on streaming, and on the channel Nosso Futebol for pay-per-view (see full schedule).
The Cearense team comes into the match on a high after defeating CSA away from home 2-1 in the last round. Now, as the home team, the expectation is to maintain an unbeaten streak of three games and seek victory to get closer to the G8. Floresta is six points away from the qualification zone but is also two points from the Z4, so scoring points is extremely important.
Sampaio Corrêa finds itself in a similar situation, languishing in 15th place in the third division of the Brazilian Championship. After a start well below expectations, the Bolívia Querida comes off a victory in the last game against São José, winning 2-0. However, that match was at home, and as visitors, the team has yet to win in the championship and will strive hard for victory in this direct clash at the bottom of the table.
The teams last faced each other in the Northeast Cup in 2022, still in the group stage. In that match, the aurirubro team won 3-0 playing at Castelão, in São Luís, Maranhão.
