Rawalpindi: Clash between Pakistani soldiers and Taliban terrorists on Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Three Pakistani soldiers were killed in the exchange of fire between the two groups. The incident took place in Khurram district of Kharlachi region.

Naik Muhammad Rehman, a native of Karak. Pakistan confirmed that Naik Maveez Khan, a native of Khyber, and Sepoy Irfanullah, a native of Dargai, were killed. The Pakistani government strongly condemned the incident. Pakistan also said that it is not right to use Afghan soil for terrorism.

Pakistan accused Taliban terrorists of firing first. The Pakistan Army was retaliating without success. Pakistani media reported that Taliban terrorists were also injured in the firing, but the Pakistani army refused to reveal more details.
