Classical music is heard again at the Muslim Magomayev Philharmonic

The Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev hosted an evening of classical music entitled “Predecessors and successors“, reports Day.Aze.

At the opening, candidate of art history, honored cultural worker Saadat Tagmirrazgyzy spoke about bright personalities – predecessors and followers in classical art.

Accompanied by the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, under the leadership of the artistic director and chief conductor, Honored Artist Fuad Ibrahimov, the famous musician, laureate of international competitions Sergey Dogadin (violin, Austria) performed.

Sergey Dogadin was born in 1988 in St. Petersburg. He graduated from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory and studied with such famous violin masters as Zakhar Bron, Boris Kushnir, Vladimir Ovcharek and Andrei Dogadin. He performs as a soloist and also with famous symphony orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and others. A talented, vibrant performer is actively working to pass on classical violin music to new generations. He performed concerts in Baku several times and took part in festivals.

The program featured symphonic engravings “Don Quixote” by Gar Garayev, “The Space of Nizami” by Firangiz Alizadeh and Concerto No. 1 for violin and orchestra a minor (Op. 77) by Dmitry Shostakovich, which were met with applause from the audience.
