Corporation works to private sector
The anti-labor ordinances issued to hand over and cancel permanent posts should be repealed. In Tamil Nadu, out of 21 Municipal Corporations, except Chennai Metropolitan Corporation, 20 Municipal Corporations have sanctioned only 3,417 permanent posts.
In Erode Corporation, only 172 have been allowed permanently. Remaining 30 thousand permanent posts have been cancelled. All of them are to be filled by outsourcing.
In Erode Corporation, more than 1,000 women’s group daily wage workers should be made permanent on the basis of 480 days of work and paid periodically. Presenting a petition to Erode Corporation Commissioner and Collector on 28th emphasizing these demands.
On April 11, the corporation employees will go on a one-day symbolic strike and hunger strike. This should be followed by subsequent protests
