The city of Seoul announced on the 29th that it will accept one more ‘Climate Companion Card youth discount post-refund application’ for young people aged 19 to 39 from 10 a.m. on the 30th to 4 p.m. on October 28.
Any young person who ‘used the 30-day expiration’ of the Climate Companion Card between February 26 and June 30, the period of the Climate Companion Card pilot project, can apply. 30-day expiration use refers to the case where you purchase and use the Climate Companion Card for all 30 days without suspending use, receiving a refund, or deleting the card.
The city of Seoul promoted youth discount ex-post refund once from July 2 to August 5, but is pushing for youth discount ex-post refund once more due to requests from non-applicants.
If you use it within 30 days, 7,000 won will be refunded per month. If you use all 5 months of the pilot project, you can receive a refund of up to 35,000 won.
You can apply for both mobile and physical cards on the T-Money Card & Pay website. The refund amount will be sequentially deposited into an account in the user’s name between November 18 and November 22 after verifying the Climate Companion Card registered on the app or web and the user’s age and identity.
Lee Jin-gu, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Transportation Policy Division, said, “We hope you will actively enjoy the benefits provided by the Climate Companion Card, from discounts for youth to discounts on cultural facilities,” and added, “We will continue to expand services to improve transportation convenience for citizens in the future.”
