Hyderabad: Clashes erupted in Telangana during the ‘Chalo Raj Bhavan’ protest march called by the Congress against the questioning of Rahul Gandhi by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Congress leader Renuka Chaudhary was seen climbing on a police officer and climbing on the collar of his uniform.
The 43-second video went viral on social media. The video shows Renuka being abducted by female police officers and taken to a police vehicle after being picked up by an officer.
During the Raj Bhavan march, activists set fire to a two-wheeler and blocked government buses, the PTI news agency reported. Traffic was jammed in and around the Khairtabad area where the Raj Bhavan is located. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MP A. Rewanth Reddy, Congress legislator Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and several others have been taken into police custody.
