A. Lange & Söhne is known for making watches exclusively from precious metals. However, at the end of the 1990s, the Glashütte manufacture produced a few examples in stainless steel, starting with the Lange 1. In a few years, the Lange 1 became one of the most emblematic pieces of A. Lange & Söhne and is currently one of the great icons of haute horlogerie.
A. Lange & Söhne guaranteed that it would never make a sports model. Until that ended up happening and it presented, in 2019, a sports watch, luxury of course. A very own interpretation of the increasingly coveted typology of integrated design. The model’s name, Odysseus, alludes to the odyssey that went into designing, developing and realizing something more than a new watch, a new collection.
