The Madrid Stock Exchange ended Tuesday with a gain of 0.59%. The Ibex 35 stood at 10,238.4 points at the close. The accumulated profits so far this year stand at 24.42%.
The Ibex 35 has chained three sessions in green, surpasses the level of 10,200 points and reaches a new maximum since May 2018, despite the bearish opening of Wall Street and the closing in red of the main Asian stock markets.
The conviction that there will be no new interest rate increases in Europe weighs more on investors’ minds than the macroeconomic data that points to a slowdown in developed economies.
Within the Ibex 35, it is worth highlighting the increases in Merlin (+3.46%), Colonial (+1.94%) and Banco Santander (+1.87%), and the decreases in Bankinter (-1.93%) and Acciona Energía (-1.65%).
