Close relations between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, based on cooperation and mutual respect (Emirati minister)
Abu Dhabi – The close and constantly consolidated relations between the State of the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Morocco are based on solid foundations of cooperation and mutual respect, thanks to a common desire to strengthen them further, said the Emirati Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Maryam Al Meheiri, in a statement to MAP.
“We are firmly committed to strengthening relations with the Kingdom of Morocco in various areas related to the environment and climate change, particularly through the exchange of knowledge, experiences and the development of joint projects in the preservation of natural resources and biodiversity,” she said.
The State of the United Arab Emirates welcomes the new opportunities that are available to the two countries and is working to promote partnership relations with a view to achieving common goals in environmental protection both nationally and internationally, the minister stressed.
Ms. Al Meheiri further praised the efforts made to promote bilateral relations which are destined for a promising future under the leadership of the two Heads of State.
The Emirati Minister of Climate Change and Environment and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests signed, on Monday in Abu Dhabi, a memorandum of understanding for the establishment of a partnership in the fields of agriculture and fisheries, during a ceremony chaired by HM King Mohammed VI and HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.
This ceremony was marked by the signing of several memoranda of understanding in various sectors.
