Tax exemption for vacant properties to be rented Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced from her step TEF.
Specializing in the Prime Minister’s announcementsthe financial staff noted that the exemption from rent tax for 3 yearsconcerns natural persons that will rent closed properties, which vacancies are declared in the last 3 years.
The measure also concerns apartments, the owners of which (also natural persons) they will turn a short-term lease into a long-term one.
According to what was noted by the Deputy Minister Chr. Dimas, the measure concerns apartments up to 120 sq.m. which will be rented for at least 3 years, from now until the end of 2025.
According to the estimates of the financial staff, the closed properties of the last three years are estimated at 600,000. Last year, approximately 7,000 were hired, which corresponds to 1.2%.
ENFIA discount for house insurance against theonomy
Mr. Dimas also mentioned that the ENFIA discount increases by 20% for owners who insure homes worth up to 500,000 euros from theomen.
Immovable properties of greater value will retain the 10% VAT discount if they are insured, but if they are not, from April 2025 they will not be compensated by the state in the event of damage.
He added that all businesses with a turnover of more than 500,000 euros must be insured against natural disasters, otherwise they will not be compensated.
