Clowns arrive at the Basilica to thank the Virgin of Guadalupe

Clowns capital residents held a pilgrimage from Peralvillo to the Guadalupe enclosure to thank the favors granted by the little brunettethe preference of its public in appreciating its artistic work, and one more year of existence of the Mexican Clown Club which celebrates its 45th anniversary.

After gathering at the Glorieta de Peralvillo, the dozens of comic artists began the colorful and lively route to the house of the Morenita del Tepeyac, advancing along Calzada de Guadalupe, where motorists greeted them and honked their horns to accompany them.

The annual visit of the comic artists to the Guadalupe precinct is intended to thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for the favors granted within her noble work; as well as the preference and recognition of the public that faithfully accompanies them during their performances, mainly girls and boys; as well as for the 45th anniversary of the Club Payasos de México to which they belong.

“We are very grateful for the preference of the children and the clients. We are thankful for the work and, above all, for sharing a little of our talent with all the people who do us the honor of accompanying us,” explained Clown Ninette.

Throughout their journey, where they sang children’s classics and even songs from bands like Los Caligaris, the group of clowns interacted with people, to whom they smiled and even gave them red noses; while the citizens, mainly the children, were excited to see them and took the opportunity to take photos with some of them; while other members of their artistic guild joined them along the way.

Upon reaching the end of the Calzada de Guadalupe, the clowns paused to take a group photo, then arrived at the atrium of the Basilica and finally entered the Guadalupe precinct to take part in the thanksgiving mass.

Some of the comic artists remained outside the Guadalupe precinct during the religious celebration to put on a show and display some of their talents to the people who were there.
