Atlético Monte Azul started the Series A2 of the Paulista championship as one of the great sensations, largely due to SAF, which has Neymar’s father as one of the owners and former player Emerson Sheik as manager. However, at least so far, the scenario is quite bad and the team is at the bottom of the tournament. Largely because of this, this Monday (29), the club announced the dismissal of coach Bruno Coutinho.
“Bruno demonstrated that he is a professional with a lot of character and great professionalism. The AMA thanks him for the services he provided and wishes him much success in his career,” said the club, in an official statement that confirmed the coach’s departure.

So far, Monte Azul has played just four matches in Series A2, and hasn’t won any. The team debuted with a draw at home against Ferroviária and lost three in a row, to Velo Clube, Portuguesa Santista and Taubaté. Because of this, he is currently the last placed team in the competition.
The club returns to action this Wednesday (31), against São Bento, away from home.
