(ANSA) – ROME, SEPTEMBER 29 – FIFA has confirmed the list of 12 US stadiums in which the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup will take place, the first edition of the new format which will see the 32 best clubs on the planet compete for the championship title of the world of club football. The competition will start on Sunday 15 June 2025 and will end in the setting of the MetLife Stadium in New York (NJ), where the final of the Club World Cup will be played on Sunday 13 July 2025, all just over 12 months before the Cup final of the 2026 World Cup scheduled in this very stadium. The list of stadiums selected for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is completed by: Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta), Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte), TQL Stadium (Cincinnati), Rose Bowl Stadium (Los Angeles), Hard Rock Stadium (Miami), GEODIS Park (Nashville), Camping World Stadium (Orlando), Inter&Co Stadium (Orlando), Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia), Lumen Field (Seattle) and Audi Field (Washington DC). “Football is the most followed sport in the world – said FIFA President Gianni Infantino during the Global Citizen Festival, staged in Central Park, New York – In 2025 FIFA will inaugurate a new era in the history of club football thanks to the largest , an inclusive and meritocratic club competition on a global scale, taking place right here in the United States.” The announcement comes at the same time as the confirmation of the new four-year collaboration between FIFA and Global Citizen, aimed at involving football fans around the world in the fight against extreme poverty and guaranteeing education for millions of children. “The Fifa Club World Cup 2025 will be played in 12 fantastic stadiums – added Infantino – this is the stage on which the stars of the 32 best clubs in the world will mark the beginning of a new era in the history of international football. This new competition branded Fifa is the only true example of genuine solidarity and inclusion in the global panorama of club football. This incredible new World Cup will allow the best clubs from Africa, Central and North America, Asia and Oceania to challenge the European and South American powerhouses. whilst having a huge impact on the growth of club football and the development of top talent globally. The fans of the 32 clubs competing for the FIFA Club title World Cup will create equally electrifying atmospheres during the tournament matches.” While waiting for the draw scheduled for December, only two of the 32 participants remain to be confirmed: one from South America and one from the host nation.
