“Clubs ready to take legal action against Uefa and Fifa”

According to the papers viewed by the ‘FT’, a company based in Spain that represents the clubs of the Super League, has asked the European Court of Justice to rule on Uefa, which acts as a regulator of the system, capable of sanctioning the clubs, but also by stakeholders, benefiting from the organization of tournaments such as the Champions League.

A Madrid court has referred the case to the European Court of Justice to decide whether the statutes of Uefa and FIFA, which give them the exclusive right to organize football in Europe, are compatible with European Union law.
