Prime Minister Modi praised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin for conducting the Chennai Chess Olympiad in a grand manner. Chief Minister Stalin also tweeted his thanks.

The Chess Olympiad, also known as the Olympics of chess, is held every 2 years. Accordingly, the 44th Chess Olympiad was held this year at Mamallapuram next to Chennai. Its opening ceremony was held on 28th July with grand functions. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended and inaugurated the competition. This Grand Chess Olympiad tournament ended yesterday. This is the first time Chess Olympiad is being held in India.

In this case, Prime Minister Modi praised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin on Twitter saying, “Praise to the government and people of Tamil Nadu for conducting the 44th Chess Olympiad. The world has come to know the history and hospitality of Tamil Nadu through this.”

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin thanked the Prime Minister for this tweet and tweeted in reply. Chief Minister Stalin tweeted, “Thank you for your kind words. Hospitality and self-respect are two inseparable characteristics of Tamils.

We need your continued support to continue holding international events like this,” Chief Minister Stalin said on Twitter.
