Nalanda: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has inaugurated a new bridge at Dwarkabigha in his home area Harnaut. This bridge has been built at a cost of about Rs 5 crore and will facilitate movement of people of many nearby villages.
Thousands of farmers and villagers from dozens of villages benefited
Nitish Kumar inaugurated this bridge on Tuesday. This bridge is located in his home block Harnaut. The total length of the bridge is 44 meters. After the construction of this bridge, thousands of people from dozens of villages including Kalyanbigha, Chero, Bahadurpur, Birju Milki will get direct benefit. After the inauguration of this bridge, happiness can now be seen on the faces of the people of Dwarka Bigha.
There will also be savings in commuting time
The length of this bridge is about 44 meters. Its construction has brought a wave of happiness among the people of Dwarka Bigha and the surrounding areas. People say that now they will have ease in commuting and time will also be saved.
The foundation stone for the construction of the bridge was laid in December 2022
This bridge has been constructed by Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited under the Chief Minister Area Development Scheme. It started on 7 December 2022 and was completed on 6 March 2024. Tight security arrangements were made for the arrival of the Chief Minister.
Construction of a new bridge parallel to the old one
A new bridge has been constructed parallel to the old dilapidated bridge. The condition of the bridge built during the British rule was very dilapidated. People had informed CM Nitish Kumar about the problems. After which he took cognizance of the matter and gave assurance and the bridge was completed in two years.
