This new issue is structured around several axes, notably on the “Development of Very High Speed Broadband in the World: Where is Morocco?”, the “Consolidation of the Disinflationary Process: Prospects for a gradual easing of monetary conditions”, and “The Rise of Morocco in the Automotive and Electrical Industry: From strategic assets to concrete achievements”, the CMC announced in a press release.
Thus, the Centre emphasises the importance of broadband as a strategic issue, specifying that several separate studies have concluded on its positive contribution to economic growth, productivity gains, employment, production, the creation of surplus for consumers and business efficiency.
The CMC further underlines that Morocco, a North African country with abundant natural resources and a strategic geographical position, is increasingly distinguishing itself as a key player in the global automotive industry, noting that the development of the electric vehicle (EV) battery segment represents a major opportunity to achieve continental leadership in this rapidly transforming sector.
Regarding Very Small Enterprises (VSEs) and startups, the Center states that they play a central role as drivers of innovation and job creation. These entities, by their flexible nature and their ability to address unexplored niches, are particularly well placed to drive the emergence of new economic sectors such as robotics, IT or printing.
The same source also notes that Morocco has undertaken a series of strategic projects and attracted international investments to develop its electric battery sector, adding that these initiatives aim to position the country as a production and innovation hub in the EV industry, thus meeting the growing demands of the global market and new environmental regulations.
Furthermore, the Centre estimates that the year 2025 would record growth of around 5.4% in real terms, subject to an average cereal campaign of 60 million quintals (MQtx).
