The National Electoral Council (CNE) held a simulation and training on the registration of candidates for the 2025 General Elections. This event took place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, and was attended by representatives of 15 political organizations at the national level and officials from the 24 provincial electoral delegations.
Diana Atamaint Wamputzar, president of the CNE, highlighted the commitment to offer continuous support to political organizations throughout the various stages of the electoral process. She stressed the importance of providing support in the registration of candidates and assured that all necessary support will be provided so that delegates of political organizations can complete this process without setbacks.
During the technical training, representatives of national political parties and movements were instructed on the procedures and flow of the phases that include the formation of alliances, the registration of pre-candidacies generated in internal democracy processes, the registration of candidates, as well as the calculation of the percentage of lists led by women and the inclusion of young people.
The simulation and training organized by the CNE are a crucial part of the preparation for the 2025 General Elections. These activities not only guarantee the efficient fulfillment of electoral requirements, but also promote inclusive and equitable participation in the country’s democratic process.
