CNOSF: the president reimburses more than 4000 euros of undue costs, including salty taxi bills

by time news

This is the first time that Brigitte Henriques has attended a CNOSF board of directors since her withdrawal two months ago. “This audit has raised question marks, points requiring arbitration”, explained to journalists the treasurer of the CNOSF, Michel Callot, who did not wish to mention a specific amount.

“These are costs that were sometimes incurred without really knowing if it was the CNOSF’s responsibility to pay them, and each time we decided against the president so that there was no problem”, he said. -he adds.

According to an internal document consulted by AFP and Le Parisien / Today in France, these costs amounting to 4184.35 euros are broken down between taxi bills, double billing errors, or expenses whose supporting documents were missing. In particular, there are invoices for “taxi police station” in the amount of 1,580 euros, used by the president in particular when she filed a complaint for “psychological violence” against her former secretary general Didier Séminet.

Asked this week about this amount of 4,000 euros in undue costs, the CNOSF refused to answer us. “Everything has been reimbursed, a process undertaken since the beginning of October,” a source close to the body told AFP.

The results of this internal audit, launched shortly after the summer, “when we felt that a crisis was setting in”, according to Michel Callot, were presented Thursday to the members of the board of directors. “It still raises questions. We obviously accept mistakes from the president quite easily, ”asked a member of the board of directors.

“For me, these are not errors but abuses”

According to our information, several opponents continue to demand access to accounts in a transparent manner. The president of the volleyball federation, Eric Tanguy, obtained the right to consult them, “which he has been doing for several days”, declared Michel Callot. During this CA, the use of the crisis agency Havas was also mentioned, without it being specified which crisis the agency had been called upon to manage. On the other hand, the amount of the fees was revealed: 38,000 euros, or 1,000 euros below the threshold beyond which a call for tenders is necessary.

“For me, these are not errors but abuses”, judged Didier Séminet, joined by AFP, who filed a complaint in early November against Brigitte Henriques for “slanderous denunciation” and “breach of trust”. “This demonstrates the establishment of a system, even on small sums,” he judges.

For her return to the stage after having voluntarily paused for two months, exhausted by her conflict with Didier Séminet, Brigitte Henriques felt that her first CA had “gone very well”. “If I came back, it’s because I’m at 100% of my abilities. So I feel good,” she added.
