A man has been released on police bail following a deadly hit-and-run collision in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, as authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. The collision, which occurred Friday night on the Ballyeaston Road in Ballyclare, resulted in the death of a man in his 50s and injuries to a woman in her 40s.

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the female victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

A man was initially arrested in connection with the collision, but a PSNI spokesman stated he has been “released on police bail to allow for further inquiries.” This allows investigators additional time to gather evidence and conduct interviews.
