All were charged with violation of safety requirements, which inadvertently resulted in the death of two or more persons, as well as abuse of authority in a commercial organization, which entailed grave consequences, it is stated below. “With regard to all detainees, the investigation intends to apply for a preventive measure in the form of detention,” the department said.

Earlier, the director of the Listvyazhnaya mine Sergei Makhrakov, his first deputy Andrei Molostov, the head of the section Sergei Gerasimenok and chief state inspectors of the Belovsky territorial department of the Siberian department of Rostekhnadzor Sergei Vinokurov and Vyacheslav Semykin were detained. They were also charged with violation of security requirements, as well as negligence, the statement said. The accident at the Listvyazhnaya coal mine in the Belovsky urban district of the Kemerovo region occurred on the morning of November 25, when a fire broke out there. In the course of inspections in Kuzbass after the explosion at Listvyazhnaya, almost 450 violations were revealed.
