Spanish coach Marcelino replaces Croatian Igor Tudor at Olympique de Marseille. The club has reached an agreement with this experienced and respected technician in the Spanish Championship, we learned on Wednesday from a source close to the negotiations.
Confirming initial information from RMC, this source did not give any additional details on the terms of this agreement, which comes less than two weeks before the resumption of training for OM on July 3. Marseille must play from August 8 or 9 a very important 3rd preliminary round of the Champions League.
A Spanish trio at the head of OM
With Marcelino Garcia Toral, free since June 2022 and his departure from Athletic Bilbao where he had spent 18 mixed months, OM find themselves with a Spanish trio at their head: Marcelino joins the club president Pablo Longoria and his right arm Javier Ribalta, two compatriots.
