The coalition is being criticized for the security escalation and the declining status of the Likud party in the polls. Knesset member Tel fan of Religious Zionism accused the coalition of failing to address security issues and urged his fellow members to take action. Meanwhile, Likud party member Danny Danon also criticized the coalition and called for a change in approach to personal security. He noted the public’s dissatisfaction with the government’s handling of security matters and the need for immediate action. Other Knesset members also weighed in on various topics, including the judicial system reform and its effect on public opinion.

The coalition today (Monday) referred to the security escalation and the weakening trend of the Likud party in the polls. Member of Knesset Tel fan (Religious Zionism) said in GLA that the coalition “didn’t deliver the goods on security issues”, and called on his members to “take all possible steps to change the security reality in the State of Israel”.

Tal also said: “Enough with this discourse of looking for culprits elsewhere. It does not help the people of Israel, the public and resolve the situation. We need to take responsibility, we were elected to power.”

Also the member of the Knesset Danny Danon (Likud) commented here on the security tensions and criticized the coalition: “We need to make a diskette change regarding personal security, the feeling is that we are not delivering the goods. We have a desire to contain and say that this is not the time to react – how many situational assessments can be done? Air Force and charge an immediate price.”

He then commented on the tendency of the Likud to weaken in the polls: “They expected more from us as a right-wing government and this causes a decrease in satisfaction. The public is telling us to manage the event in a different way, use more force – we want results,” he said.

Member of Knesset Hanoch Milivitsky (The Likud) referred to the effect of the reform of the judicial system on public opinion, saying in the GLA that “the reform does not cause electoral damage, it does cause damage because the public is not spoken to. There is absolutely no need to drop the reform from the agenda and we will have to continue with the legislation if there are no agreements.”
