Coalition Praises President Bassirou Dioumié Faye’s Achievements in Managing Senegal’s Affairs

DAKAR, July 22 (APS) – The conference of the leaders of the coalition supporting the candidacy of Bassirou Dioumié Faye in the March 24 presidential election held on Sunday in Dakar, praising the efficiency shown by the new president of the republic in managing the affairs of the state and caring for the needs of Senegal.

The coalition’s leaders expressed this satisfaction during a press conference held in Dakar to discuss the actions of President Bassirou Diomie Faye, a little more than three months after he officially assumed office.

”The Head of State has, from his first days in power, set about effectively managing issues, the most urgent of which is the drop in prices of basic necessities,” declared Aissatou Mabodj, known as Aida, who is president of this political coalition.

He also underlined that President Faye has taken very commendable steps for the smooth conduct of the upcoming agricultural campaign, the good organisation of the Tabaski festival in less than 100 days.

“All these files were the subject of inter-ministerial councils headed by the Prime Minister [Ousmane Sonko] And that made it possible to take practical and effective measures,” Ms Mbodj argued.

He stressed the fact that the Presidential Coalition is proud of Bassirou Diomie Faye’s record after three months in power.

“Very attached to national solidarity, far from any partisan feeling, much less any sense of vengeance, Bassirou Diomye Faye worked to establish reconciliation among the Senegalese people with his posture full of humility and modesty, with full control of his files,” argued the former mayor of Bomba.

She did not fail to affirm that the steps taken so far by the new President of the Republic have not been easy to implement due to the losses and difficulties that have been incurred.

“Bassirou Dioumié Faye inherited a country that owes more than 80% of its GDP, far above the limit authorized by Community convergence norms,” ​​he said.
