Due to continuous heavy rains for the past few days, the low-lying areas, including the coastal areas of Lakshmipur, are under water. Ponds, fish enclosures and crop fields have been flooded. Homes, fields and roads, seed beds and crop fields are under water. Meanwhile, the coastal houses are also submerged by the extraordinary tide of Meghna river. Samserabad, Lamchari of the district town along with Chermartin, Charalrens and Charkalkini of Kamalnagar upazila went to Nasirganj district to see the plight of the waterlogged residents.
