jpnn.com – SURABAYA – Persebaya Surabaya midfielder Andre Oktaviansyah a.k.a Cobra must pay for his actions.

Cobra will be absent from three Persebaya matches.

This was after the PSSI Disciplinary Commission issued a decree numbered 015/L1/SK/KD-PSSI/IX/2024 to impose additional sanctions on Cobra for violations resulting in a red card in the match against Persita.

Cobra received a straight red card after being caught on VAR footage hitting Persita Tangerang player, Badrian Ilham.

In the 4th week of Liga 1 at the Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Bali, last Saturday (14/9), Cobra was given a yellow card.

However, the referee changed it to a red card after checking VAR.

“Referring to Article 49 paragraph 1 letter (d) and paragraph 2 of the 2023 PSSI Disciplinary Code, Mr. Andre was given an additional penalty of a two-match playing ban since this decision was issued and applies to the nearest match and a fine of Rp. 10,000,000,” read the letter from the Disciplinary Committee.

That means Cobra will be absent for three matches, one match due to a red card penalty, plus two matches due to additional sanctions from the Disciplinary Committee.
