Cobreloa made news again in police matters, after the Calama team reported an episode of sexual abuse against a local fan at the Zorros del Desierto Stadium, during the clash against Colo Colo.

The incident was caused by a merchant from the sports complex, who was arrested by Carabineros in the Andes grandstand area.

In one public statement, Cobreloa explained that “once the meeting was over, we were informed the arrest of a merchant in the Andes sector of our stadium, for sexual abuse against a fan of our institution.”

In light of this new case of violence against women, the Loíno club stated that “we have activated all internal protocols to support the victim and collaborate with the relevant authorities.”

“The detainee will be blocked from continuing to carry out his work as a merchant in any activity organized by the club, together with the application of the Safe Stadium Law, prohibiting their entry to sports venues, especially to the facilities of our club,” the institution stressed.

Along these lines, he pointed out that “there is no reason that justifies the actions of the detainee and we will not endorse or protect this type of actions that tarnish the name of Cobreloa and all those who work in each game and sporting activity.”

“In our constant adherence to the law, We will provide all necessary information to the authorities so that the detainee does not return to our stadium.and individually answer before justice for their reprehensible and uncivil actions,” he said.
