Coca-Cola Recalls Cans of Diet Coke, Sprite, and Fanta Orange

Coca-Cola has issued a recall for certain cans of Diet Coke, Sprite, and Fanta Orange that were distributed in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida. The company stated that the cans may contain “foreign material.”

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) disclosed the recall in a filing and reported that it began on November 6. The recall encompasses 1,557 cases of 12-ounce cans of Sprite, 417 cases of Diet Coke, and 14 cases of Fanta Orange.

According to the FDA filing, the recall was initiated by United Packers, a company based in Alabama. In response to the recall, Coca-Cola Co. stated in an email to NBC News that the recall has been completed and there are no more affected cans on the market.

Consumers who have purchased any of the affected products are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a refund or exchange.
