There has been a turnaround in the death toll of 3 people who drank Vidya Vidya liquor to celebrate Deepavali in the Pappanayakkan Palayam area in Coimbatore. The man who was poisoned and killed due to animosity has been arrested.
Sakthivel, Parthiban and Muruganantham, who were working as painters, died due to excessive consumption of alcohol on the 4th of Diwali. Following this, the police seized the bodies of 3 persons and conducted an investigation.
During the interrogation they had been drinking all night and at 6.30 in the morning they fell back on the road in a daze after buying and drinking alcohol on the block. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The bodies were autopsied at the Coimbatore Government Hospital and traces of poison were found. Following this, the police arrested Rajasekar (63) from the same area.
