Coimbatore: Coimbatore Blast: In Coimbatore, the police said that there was a big conspiracy in the car explosion near Ukkadath temple. Moreover, the police suspect that the suspects were targeting a series of explosions. The police found that proper planning was done, including the purchase of items required for the blast. The police have received information that many people bought explosives and kept them in Mubeen’s house and Jamesha Mubeen is the mastermind of everything.

Police are investigating how the explosives were procured. Police have written to these leading commerce sites seeking information on whether it was purchased online. If so, who bought it? How was the payment made? The police are also checking the information about the place where the delivery was made. The investigation team has sought information from Amazon and Flipkart regarding sales of potassium nitrate and sulfur in Coimbatore in the last two years. Relatives and friends of Mubeen, who died in the blast, are under surveillance. Police raided their homes and workplaces. The investigation team had questioned one of Mubeen’s close associates at Vincent Road. His laptop has been seized by the investigation team and handed over for cyber analysis.

Meanwhile, more arrests are likely today in the car bomb blast case. There are also indications that some of Mubin’s close associates are in custody. Meanwhile, the five accused arrested in the case have been taken into custody by the investigation team for three days. They will be questioned in detail. The Tamil Nadu government has already recommended handing over the case to the National Investigation Agency. NIA team led by DIG camping in Coimbatore has also started preliminary information gathering. The team is investigating how the 75 kg of explosive ingredients were collected by the police. The investigation team may get the preliminary results of various forensic tests today. Further action of the investigation team will be based on that.

Meanwhile, the investigation team has received crucial evidence that the Coimbatore blast was a suicide attack. The investigation team came to this suspicion after finding the WhatsApp status of Jamesha Mubeen, who died in the blast. It is reported that when he came to know about his death, he had posted statuses on WhatsApp saying that he should forgive his mistakes and attend the funeral ceremony and pray. The investigating team has not released the WhatsApp status or provided technical confirmation. Moreover, reports are also coming out that the suspects arrested in this case are related to the terrorist organization ISIS. It is reported that Feroz Ismail, who was arrested, was sent back from Dubai in 2019 due to his connection with IS. There are also indications that there was incendiary chemical in the body of the murdered Jamesha Mubin. 13 body parts of Jamesha Mubeen have been sent for examination. After the blast, the police found information about the temples, collectorate and commissioner’s office in Coimbatore during the search at Mubeen’s house.
