Private trains from Coimbatore to Shirdi have been rescheduled after the central government announced that trains would not be privatized.

Shirdi Sai Baba Temple in the state of Maharashtra is visited by a large number of devotees from different parts of the country.

Devotees have been demanding for years that there be a direct train from Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu to Shirdi. There is currently a private special train from Coimbatore to Shirdi.

The Railway Department has given permission to run private trains to Shirdi from 5 cities, including Coimbatore, under Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Bharat Kaur’ scheme. It has been announced that this train will run once a week from Coimbatore to Shirdi and from Shirdi to Coimbatore.

This special train passes through Mantralaya in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It has been reported that the train will be clean and of international standard and the first train will carry 1,100 passengers.

This train will leave Coimbatore at 6 pm and reach Shirdi at 07.25 am the next day. Depart from Shirdi to Coimbatore after a day break. This train will stop at Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Bangalore, Dharmapuram and Mantralaya stations.

The fare for this train is Rs. 2500 for a ticket with a bed, Rs. 5000 for a box with 3 refrigerators, Rs. 7000 for a box with 2 refrigerators and Rs.

It has also been reported that the train is maintained by experienced housekeeping staff and areas used by passengers are frequently cleaned. Traditional vegetarian dishes are also prepared by experienced chefs and served to travelers.

But at the same time, railway employees protested against the operation of the private train.
