Collaborating with Habitat for Humanity, Aplus Pacific Builds Livable Houses in Bogor

THE building materials manufacturing company, PT Aplus Pacific, is collaborating with the humanitarian organization Habitat for Humanity Indonesia in building livable houses to encourage community welfare, as well as supporting the government’s efforts to overcome the housing backlog.

Data from the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) for 2022 states that Indonesia still has a backlog of 12.71 million houses. PT Aplus Pacific and Habitat for Humanity Indonesia built livable houses in Cimandala Village, Karang Tengah Village, Babakan Madang District, Bogor Regency.

“Aplus continues to innovate to create local building material products that are able to compete and contribute in the present and future. Apart from that, we also continue to strive to support nation development through social activities, such as today’s house building activities,” said Stevefanus Tedjasukmana, Sales & Marketing Director PT Aplus Pacific.

Stevefanus Tedjasukmana added that the collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia was also in celebration of PT Aplus Pacific’s 23rd anniversary.

Stevefanus Tedjasukmana hopes that at the age of 23, Aplus Pacific will be more committed and consistent in carrying out various programs that encourage the welfare of the wider community.

Director of Habitat for Humanity Indonesia Susanto said, with 26 years of experience as a humanitarian agency, collaboration is one of the main strengths that allows Habitat to provide decent homes for low-income families in Indonesia.

“We appreciate the trust and support PT Aplus Pacific has given us, especially in realizing the construction of houses in Cimandala Village, Babakan Madang, Bogor,” he said.

Susanto explained that alleviating uninhabitable houses is part of Habitat for Humanity’s vision which continues to be worked on through various programs.

“Habitat is very open to collaboration in order to realize this vision. Collaborating with PT Aplus Pacific for a program to build livable houses is something we are grateful for. We hope that this collaboration can continue to be strengthened, especially in encouraging the welfare of low-income communities,” he said. (Z-5)
