jpnn.comJAKARTA – The Indonesian Digital Talent Development Association (APTDI) as an organization that oversees the growth of digital talent in Indonesia has officially announced a strategic collaboration with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo).

This collaboration was marked by the signing of an agreement between APTDI and Kominfo.

This collaboration aims to support and grow Digital Talent in Indonesia to meet current and future industry needs and raise the economy and standard of living of Indonesian Digital Talent.

“APTDI is an association of bootcamps, communities, and individuals engaged in the development of Indonesian digital talent today and has a vision to become a major partner for the government and the developer industry. We hope that APTDI can be a forum for digital talent development actors in Indonesia to collaborate with each other, become a means of advocacy, contribute to digital transformation, and become a driver of strategic collaboration with various other stakeholders,” said APTDI General Chair, Ronald Ishak.

Based on the e-Conomy SEA Report 2023, the development of the digital economy in Indonesia is estimated to reach $110 billion by 2025.

With current progress, there will be a digital workforce shortage of 600 thousand people every year, by 2030.

In addition to the lack of digital talent, there is also a problem regarding the gap in skills and abilities of digital talent in Indonesia.

Nezar Patria, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics on the same occasion said that the ministry welcomed the presence and collaboration with APTDI.
