Under the signing of a collaboration agreement, the Confederation has achieved that between August 1 and 14 an advertising spot is broadcast on the main channels of the communication group (Antena 3, La Sexta, Neox, Nova, Mega, A3Series and Atresplayer ) a radio spot on its stations (Onda Cero, Europa FM and Melodía FM) and the insertion of promotional banners on its web platforms. In this way, the Confederation intends to reach millions of viewers during the first half of August to raise awareness about better care for mental health and well-being and about the work that the associative movement has been developing for four decades.
MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN celebrates 40 years of fighting for the rights of people with mental health problems
Under the motto “40 years for mental health, for rights, for you”, the MENTAL HEALTH SPAIN Confederation celebrates as of today, and throughout 2023, the 40th anniversary of its constitution. It does so by claiming the need to defend the rights of people with mental health problems and increase resources so that the public health system can offer them adequate care, based on the community level.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]To commemorate these four decades, the Confederation aims to value the history of the associative movement and its contribution to the progress of mental health, as well as focus on the generational replacement of the people who will lead the associative movement in the future. Nel González Zapico, president of SALUD MENTAL ESPAÑA, assures that “Important progress has been made in recent years, but we are still a long way from getting people’s mental health addressed in the way it should.” For González Zapico, “these 40 years have been full of effort, commitment and enthusiasm. We did not lose hope then nor will we lose it now. We are going to continue working as an associative movement to improve the lives of people with mental health problems and their environment.
