19 days after the tragedy in the rue de Tivoli which killed 8 people, the Marseille prosecutor’s office has just opened a judicial investigation for manslaughter after the collapse of two buildings on April 9 in the Marseille city. At the same time, 138 evacuees returned to their homes from Friday.

The explosion, probably due to gas, had blown up a building on rue de Tivoli, caused two adjoining buildings to collapse and damaged several others. A total of 43 buildings had to be evacuated, i.e. 302 inhabitants in total.
