Silvio Berlusconi died on Monday at the age of 86. The one who has been three times Prime Minister in Italy was also patron of an audiovisual empire, Mediaset, which notably holds the main TV channel private, Canale 5. Federica Panicucci began by explaining: “It was the worst thing we could do today, for us at Mediaset”, then announcing, in a broken voice: “Silvio Berlusconi is dead”.
Unable to continue

Wednesday funeral
Treated at San Raffaele Hospital in Milan for leukemia, Silvio Berlusconi entered it last Friday. Shortly after his death was announced, dozens of people gathered outside the hospital as tributes poured in fromItaly and from abroad. A state funeral will be held Wednesday at the majestic Cathedral of Milan.
