Chennai: The Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Shanmugasundaram, has ordered to send the details of the cooperative societies whose term of office is over in Tamil Nadu and the societies that need to hold elections.
Circular issued by him to Zonal Joint Registrars of Co-operative Societies:
It has been decided to hold elections for 4,684 co-operative societies in Tamil Nadu on April 2, whose term of five years will end.
Therefore, the societies whose tenure of five years is ending should send the details of the co-operative societies which can hold elections in April.
Also, the newly registered societies should send the details, item wise, by the 28th.
It says so.
