Police have arrested a youth who sexually harassed a college student by uploading a fake photo on a social networking site.
Nias, a resident of Kuniyamuthur upcountry in Coimbatore district, posted a fake photo on Instagram and befriended various women. In it, he talks to a college student from Tiruppur who is acquainted with him in a female voice and gets acquainted with him and gets his photos from the college student.
In this case, Nias, who received the photos, morphed it into pornography and sent it back to the college student, threatening to spread the photos on the internet if he did not come to the nude video call. The college student has lodged a complaint at the Tirupur Cyber Crime Police Station.
Following this, the police, who filed a case on the complaint, arrested Niyas, who was involved in the crime with the help of Crime Technology, confiscated his cell phone and sent him to court custody.
