With an outstanding performance in Colombian women’s tennis, the national delegation secured its place in the Play-Offs of the Billie Jean King Cup by winning the series against Argentina with a score of 2-1.

The event took place in Bogotá and the tricolor team, led by captain Alejandro González and made up of the tennis players Yuliana Monroy, María Paulina Pérez, Yuliana Lizarazo and María Camila Torresachieved victory in four of the five series played throughout the event.

«I think it was very important that we knew from the beginning what we had, from the beginning we planned to win day by day and it was done. “Today was just another game and we knew that like the other days we had to win the series and obviously that gave us the result we wanted and in the end it was important for everyone,” said captain Alejandro González.
