In an emotional match, Colombia emerged as leader of Group D and advanced to the Quarterfinals after drawing 1-1 with Brazil.
From the opening whistle, Brazil sought to impose its dominance to secure first place, but Colombia, with patience and strategy, demonstrated its strength and quality.
The first half was a high-paced duel, with both teams showing their intensity. In the 12th minute, Rafinha opened the scoring for Brazil, testing the resilience of the Colombian team.However, the national team was not discouraged and remained faithful to its style of play. Throughout the first half, Colombia managed to neutralize Brazil, both with high pressure and by blocking their attempts at long plays.

Just before the break, Daniel Muñoz (45+’) equalised the score, leaving the match tied at the end of the first 45 minutes.
In the second half, control of the game was divided between both teams. There were clear scoring opportunities that tested the goalkeepers, but the score remained unchanged. The 1-1 draw secured first place in the group for Colombia.
In the quarter-finals, Colombia will face Panama, while Brazil will have to face Uruguay.
