Brazil once again dominates the Women’s Copa America. The Brazilian women won the title by defeating Colombia by a one-sided goal. While Brazil dominated possession, Colombia had more shots and created chances. Brazil scored the only goal of the match through a penalty in the 39th minute. Dabinha scored the penalty for bringing down Manuela Vinegas.
Colombia tried their best to fight back in the final minutes, but Brazil’s defense held the fort. With the Copa title, Brazil qualified for the next Olympics. By reaching the Copa final, Brazil and Colombia women’s teams have already qualified for next year’s World Cup. Argentina beat Paraguay 3-1 in losers’ final to clinch third place in Copa America
