The unanimous support of the 24 countries participating in the Assembly reflects confidence in the country’s infrastructure and logistical capacity to host events of this magnitude.
The XXVIII South American School Games, which will be held in Bucaramanga from December 2 to 8, 2024, promise to be a highly relevant event, attracting more than 3,000 athletes from 12 countries in the region. The Santander city has been chosen thanks to its outstanding sports infrastructure, hotel and hospital capacity, as announced by Minister López during the Extraordinary Assembly of the South American Sports Council (Consude).

On the other hand, the designation of Colombia as host of the VII Central American and Caribbean School Games in 2025 represents a unique opportunity to strengthen school sports in the region.
