Colombia suspends eradication of coca plantations – Colombia

Bogota – The Colombian police have suspended the destruction of coca plantations for the time being. The farmers are the weakest link in the drug trade, police chief Henry Sanabria told the newspaper “El Tiempo” on Tuesday. The fight against the backers will continue. “The pursuit of the illegal organizations involved in this criminal business continues to catch those we have linked to the drug trade.”
