Former US President and current presidential candidate Donald Trump was not seriously injured after an attack during a political event in Pennsylvania.
The incident occurred this Saturday when an attacker fired, causing a rapid intervention of the US Secret Service, who removed Trump from the stage.
Footage of the incident quickly went viral, showing Trump cupping his right ear and crouching as gunshots rang out as he addressed a crowd at a packed campaign rally.
According to local media reports, the alleged shooter was shot dead on the spot and, unfortunately, one member of the public also lost his life.

In response to the attack, the Colombian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, issued a statement strongly condemning the events.: «The Government of Colombia strongly condemns the attack on the Republican candidate for President of the United States, Donald Trump, while he was giving a speech in Butler, Pennsylvania. As a country that has suffered violence, we reaffirm that this has no place in the political and electoral debate. This regrettable event was an attack on democracy. We stand in solidarity with the United States in this difficult moment.»
On the other hand, Ivanka Trump, daughter of the former president, thanked this Saturday the prayers sent to her father after the shooting. In an emotional message, she said: «I love you dad, today and always«. Additionally, through X and Instagram, she added: «Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and the other victims in today’s senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania. I thank the Secret Service and all law enforcement officers for their quick response and decisive actions. I will continue to pray for our country.»
