The opening of the final exhibition and the award ceremony of the Republican art competition “Baharin Rəngləri” (Colors of Spring) took place at the Khatai Arts Center, Day.Az reports.
The competition was held within the framework of the “Year of Solidarity for the Green World” announced in Azerbaijan with the organization of the Azerbaijan State Art Gallery and the Khatai Arts Center and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Television and Radio Broadcasting CJSC, the Executive Power of Khatai district, Union of Artists of Azerbaijan.
The opening ceremony was attended by the director of the Khatai Arts Center Zahid Avazov, the representative of the Khatai District Executive Power Turana Jafarova, the head of the sector of the Azerbaijan State Art Gallery Elchin Huseyn, teachers and artists Gunduz Habibov, Abdulemi Aliyev and Akif Yarysov.
The goal of the project is to stimulate the creative activity of children, adolescents and youth, and develop their artistic taste. About 700 people aged from 10 to 21 took part in the competition, creating works in the genre of watercolor painting on the theme “Spring”.
The best works will be kept in the collection of the Khatai Arts Center and will be used in the design of the new Baku Khatai Kids Art at the Center. A virtual exhibition catalog will also be prepared.
The winners and laureates were awarded certificates and valuable prizes.
