by time news

The instant messaging company “WhatsApp” has launched a new feature that has been long awaited by millions of users, called “Communities” that enables the user to find all related groups.

It can be joined using the community invite link from the community admin, or added in the usual way directly, provided the feature is on your account.

New WhatsApp feature details

Today, WhatsApp launched the WhatsApp beta version of the Android 2.22.19.3 update that finally brings the “Communities” feature to beta testers by creating a community.

And the circulating image of the new feature shows the ability to know if the feature is already available for your “WhatsApp” account, just check if the communities tab appears instead of the camera tab, if the communities tab is available, you can actually start creating a community by By adding up to 10 groups, according to Wabetainfo: “They are called subgroups, and they support up to 512 participants.”

A community member can choose which subgroup to join, based on his or her personal preferences and can leave a subgroup without leaving the community, and community admins can also disable the community if they don’t want to use it anymore.

Currently, WhatsApp is hiding phone numbers in subgroups of the community, so other community members can’t see your phone number.

Unfortunately, this feature was not guaranteed by the ‘first version’ of the instant messaging app’s communities, so we should expect it to be released in the future, even if no other details are available at the moment such as the release date.
