Comedian and radio personality Ron Sexton, famously known as “Donnie Baker” on “The BOB & TOM Show,” has passed away. The news of Sexton’s death was announced by his family on his official Facebook page on Saturday morning. The post stated, “It is with immense sadness that we let everyone know that Ron Sexton passed away yesterday. He was Donnie Baker to most of you, but Ron and Dad to us. Please respect our privacy at this time and pray for our family.”

Sexton died in Ohio on Friday while on tour with his stand-up comedy show. Tom Griswold, a member of “The BOB & TOM Show,” confirmed the news in a statement posted on Twitter. Griswold wrote, “We are sad to confirm that Ron Sexton, longtime member of the ensemble cast of ‘The Bob & Tom Show,’ died Friday in Ohio while on tour with his stand-up comedy show. Ron was known by millions of listeners for the indelible comedic characters he played.”

The Dayton Funny Bone had scheduled Sexton to perform on July 21 and July 22, according to a post on the comedy club’s Facebook page. However, due to his sudden passing, the performances were canceled. The cause of his death has not been announced at this time.
