In the spring of 2018, comedian Rune Andersen (62) and Hanne Merete Holberg got married in Kristiansand church. But after six years of marriage, happiness has shattered and the couple has gone their separate ways.
This is confirmed by the comedian to KRS:
– We are getting a divorce. We are separated and will be divorced, Andersen tells the newspaper.
As a result of the breakup, the dream house they bought last year has also been put up for sale.
Breakup in January
Last summer, Andersen and Holberg splurged on a seaside property on Østre Randøya, paying no less than 12.5 million kroner for the dream house.
According to the comedian, it is with a heavy heart that the house is being sold just one year after the purchase:
– It has always been my dream to live there. Then the dream broke apart. I can’t keep the house alone. I have no choice, he shares with KRS.
Andersen has also commented on the breakup on social media, and in a lengthy Facebook post, he writes among other things that the breakup occurred in January and that it came as a complete surprise to him.
This is the second time Andersen is getting divorced. He was previously married to Torhild Kildahl.
Property Dispute
The property is now on the market again, this time with an asking price of 18 million kroner.
KRS reports that the property’s previous owner, Edvard Torkildsen, is reacting strongly to the price increase, which has led to a public dispute.
The former owner claims that they had an oral agreement that the former couple could purchase the house for far below the appraisal value, as part of the agreement that it would not be a vacation home.
– Then a few months went by before they turned their backs on all agreements. It’s a severe breach of trust and poorly done, says Torkildsen.

In the Facebook post, Andersen writes that he earnestly tried to find a solution on how to be a permanent resident in the house after the breakup was a fact.
The 62-year-old explains that one proposal was to buy the property back for what the couple paid, but according to the comedian, his now estranged wife was not willing to do this.
– I have sought advice where I thought advice could be found, and all agree: “That when both owners do not agree, it must be sold to the highest bidder,” writes Andersen, adding that there is a disagreement between him and his former wife.
Furthermore, he writes that Torkildsen bought the property for seven million kroner in 2018, and he encourages the former owner to donate the profit to a good cause.
