Not only Sat.1, but also other partners of Luke Mockridge are drawing conclusions from his scandalous statements. The comedian was not allowed to perform as planned.
Colleagues from his industry are turning away, stars like Guildo Horn are outraged and Luke Mockridge’s first employers are ending their collaboration with him. The comedian is currently experiencing the consequences of his comments about the Paralympics. His broadcaster Sat.1 has already pulled the ripcord and canceled the show “What’s in the Box? – The Comedy Quiz” without further ado. You can read more about the reason for the cancellation here.
It has now been revealed that the comedian’s “Nightwash” appearance has also been cancelled. Mockridge was actually supposed to appear there on Sunday evening in Paderborn. The event, which is touring all over Germany, features a variety of stars from the industry performing a stand-up routine in a laundromat. However, as the “Westfalenblatt” newspaper reports, the organizer in Paderborn decided at short notice not to let Mockridge on stage.
This was confirmed by the managing director of the Schlosspark and Lippesee company, Christian Stork, when asked by the newspaper. According to the report, Mockridge had been removed from the program and a replacement had been found. The “Nightwash” show in Schloss Neuhaus took place after the “line-up change” with the comedians Ben Schafmeister, Mirja Regensburg, Robert Alan, Assane Badiane and Christin Jugsch.
For Luke Mockridge, this is the next setback after the end of his planned TV comeback after three years of abstinence. The reason is his derogatory comments in the podcast “Die Deutschen”. There he had made fun of disabled people and questioned the concept of the Paralympics. He said, among other things: “There are people without arms and legs who are thrown into a pool – and whoever is the last to drown wins.”
